Neighborhood Trash Clean-up!

Today we learned why litter is more than just an eyesore. We talked about watersheds and how rain and runoff can carry trash from our streets and neighborhoods into local waterways like the Charles River and eventually toward the ocean.

Then, armed with gloves, trash bags, and grabbers, we headed into the neighborhood for a clean-up. We loved watching the kids take such pride in caring for our community.

Next week, we’ll continue helping the earth by creating our classroom recycle centers and learning about what items are recyclable vs trash!
